On Wednesday 23rd November 2022, at 5.30 pm, in the Institute headquarters, the launch of Alessandra Giannotti’s ‘Sculture in terracotta. Devozione nella casa fiorentina del Rinascimento’, Leo S. Olschki 2021, will take place. Carlo Sisi and Bruce Edelstein will discuss about the individual and familiar devotions in Renaissance Florence, in relations with their ‘objects’, specifically the terracotta sculptures; about their artistic and religious commission and about the attention with which the collectors during the following years have helped the preservation of those artistic objects.
